FORT WAYNE, IND – State Senator and congressional candidate for Indiana’s Third Congressional District, Liz Brown, released the following statement on Speaker John Boehner’s resignation announcement:
“Speaker Boehner’s resignation decision clears the way for new, conservative leadership to step up in the U.S. House of Representatives. Our lawmakers who truly care about the Constitution need to seize this opportunity and elect a speaker who will fight for the unborn, defund Planned Parenthood, repeal Obamacare, return us to our Constitutional principles of limited government and restore states’ rights.
“When I am elected to Congress, I will fight for Constitutional conservative leadership that will listen to the American people. I am running for Congress to work for the people of this district, not to make a career of it. I’m ready to go to Washington to be your voice for conservative values. It’s past time that Washington has new leadership.”
